We are pleased to offer you the MBA Advantage Program, which provides students with outstanding opportunities to develop both professional and personal skills.
All MBA students entering fall 2008 or later must earn at least 10 points prior to the end of their fourth term in the program by attending MBA Advantage events. Some programs are mandatory. In addition, there is a portfolio of options for elective programs.
Mandatory Events
To be completed within your first two terms in the Robinson College of Business MBA program
- Library Resources "No Data Dumping Here!"
A session offered to current graduate students to explore the online library options available at Robinson. Current students have given rave reviews of this program. The session is designed to save you time and money.

- You must choose one of the following, but if you wish, you may take both:
- The Case Study Methodology a vital workshop designed to introduce you to the case learning methodology that is used in most courses in the program. The session will begin begin at 8:30 a.m., conclude by 4 p.m and include a working lunch.

- Uncovering Personality Type, Problem Solving and Creativity a workshop designed to help you develop your creativity and problem solving skill sets. The session leads with a personality profile. All sessions start at 8:30 a.m., conclude by 4 p.m. and include a working lunch.

Elective Options
Must be completed within your first four terms in the MBA Program. These electives are designed to offer you opportunities to develop both your personal and professional capabilities. Many are centered on career management activities. Depending on whether you choose to complete 4 or 7 points from the above set, you will need to choose and complete activities worth either 6 or 3 points, respectively, to fulfill your MBA Advantage obligations prior to graduation. Examples of offerings are as follows:
- Executive Coaching - options offered each fall and spring to take advantage of the counsel of other professional colleagues as you map your career path. Excellent feedback from current students.

- Career Management Program Options - A variety of seminars covering essential steps in the career management process.

- The Career Engineer - Randy Siegal will present a lunch and learn series at the Rialto for graduate students across Robinson. Themed around re-engineering your career path and your networking potential.

- RCB Career Development Conference Preparation for EXPO Recruiting Events
Wednesday, September 10, 8:30 a.m.-12 noon or 1-4:30 p.m.
Repeated sessions for top-performance at EXPO events on September 16-18

- Do you Know your Emotional Intelligence Quotient? - Join Dr. Beverly Langford in a day-long workshop to assess your "survival skills" for the softer side of business.

- Etiquette Dinner Featured location at The Commerce Club with a five-course dinner. Sponsored by the GBA. There is a registration fee for this event. Reservations required. Seats fill quickly.
