1.  Serves as a sounding board for adjusting educational programs, implementing research projects and engaging in other activities.

2.  Provides advice to the director and the faculty about how the school can increase its services to the business and professional communities.

3.  Promotes the school and its programs in the business and Professional communities. Assists in informing these groups of the programs and services that are available from the school.

4.  Assists in developing funding strategies for faculty development, professorships, research projects, students scholarships, library acquisitions and general school endowment.

5.  Assists in providing opportunities for relevant practical experience for faculty members.

6.  Assists in attracting high-quality students and faculty to the school.
