Hamilton "Ham" McDonald is a Senior Vice President with Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB), one of the world's leading planning, engineering, and program and construction management organizations. With more than 40 years of professional experience and 25 years of service to PB, Ham has overseen projects in the banking, real estate development and program management arenas.

During the past several years, Ham has greatly influenced PB's presence overseas, with offices opening in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macau, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Tianjin and Taiwan. Through his efforts, PB has won work to provide planning and design service for the facilities and transportation network for the Beijing Olympic Committee and the City of Beijing for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Ham's many accomplishments include supporting the regeneration and development of transit-oriented projects in major global cities in the United States, Europe and Asia; planning and establishing PB Telecom, a PB subsidiary, for the design and construction of major fiber and wireless programs; leading a design/build joint venture of CRSS and Beers Construction for the design and construction of public sector buildings, including schools, courthouses and hospitals; and establishing a National Account Sales Program for Environmental Science and Engineering that helped grow the firm from 80 to 400 employees in just 4 years.
Ham is a board member of both the International Road Federation and the Building Futures Council, among other professional affiliations.
Ham served in the United States Army as a Captain, earning military awards such as the Bronze Star, Air Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Parachute Wings, National Defense Medal, Vietnamese Campaign Medal and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry. He completed both undergraduate and graduate work at Georgia State University, with a B.B.A. in Marketing and Management and an M.B.A. in Finance and Real Estate and Urban Affairs. |
