Wayne Reid is a CPA and Partner with Frazier & Deeter, bringing more than 39 years of experience to the firm. Prior to joining the company in June 2004, Wayne was a partner with Deloitte & Touche for 2 years and a Partner with Arthur Andersen for more than 32 years. Before that, he worked for the Internal Revenue Service as a Field Auditor.
Wayne assists public and private companies with tax planning and compliance. He also helps C-corporations, S-corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies with structuring transactions, including IPOs with emphasis on tax minimization. |
Wayne was an active member of Andersen Worldwide's Technology Industry and Bioscience Steering Committees, as well as its Partnership Tax Practice Group. He was in charge of the technology practice and the FastTech 50 Program for Andersen's Atlanta office and also handled firm-wide responsibilities as a member of the Arthur Andersen Family Wealth Planning Practice and Specialty Team, serving medium- and large-net worth families. Wayne served on the Andersen Worldwide Advisory Council as well.
Wayne has addressed numerous tax institutes and forums throughout the United States. He has written several articles, including one on using tax partnerships as an ideal vehicle for start-up ventures. He also has co-authored several Andersen publications on specialized areas including estate and gift tax strategies, with focus on asset value freezes, technology companies, international investments in the U.S. and real estate.
Wayne serves as a leader with professional and civic organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of CPAs, the Association for Corporate Growth, the Georgia Biomedical Partnership, the Technology Executive Roundtable, the Furman University National Advisory Council and the J. Mack Robinson College of Business.
Wayne received a B.A. from Furman University and an M.P.A. from Georgia State University. |
