Joseph Sansone is Founder, Chairman and CEO of Pediatria HealthCare LLC (PHC), a privately held company focusing on day treatment centers for medically fragile children and pediatric private-duty home nursing services. PHC has offices in Georgia, Florida and Massachusetts.
In 1989, Joseph founded Pediatric Service of America Inc. (PSAI). Under his leadership, a niche was carved that led to PSAI's growth to the nation's largest pediatric home healthcare organization with more than 2,500 employees in 24 states.

Prior to his tenure at PSAI, Joseph served as President and CEO of Ambulatory Services of America Inc., (ASA) a subsidiary of Magellan Health Services Inc. Mr. Sansone is also Founder and past Chairman of Pediatric Physician Alliance Inc. Previously, Joseph was an executive with Tenet Healthcare Corporationformerly American Medical International Inc. (AMI).
Joseph resides in Alpharetta, Georgia. He dedicated his career to the healthcare services industry after training at The University of Chicago to become a registered respiratory therapist. Pursuing his management ambitions, Mr. Sansone graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern University in Boston with a B.S. in Healthcare Administration and received an M.B.A. from Georgia State University.
Joseph was chosen as National Entrepreneur of the Year in 1997 in the field of Health and Life Sciences, and received The Atlanta Business Chamber of Commerce Gazelle Award in 1995 for leading one of Atlanta's fastest-growing companies. Under his leadership, PSAI was listed in Forbes as one of 1997's 200 Best Small Companies and in BusinessWeek's 1995 list of Hot Growth Companies. He serves on the Board of Georgia State University's School of Health and Human Sciences and PromptCare Inc., a regional home healthcare provider in the Northeast. Joseph also serves as a regional, national and world judge (2005) for the Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. |
