Robinson Mock Interview Program
Objective
The objective of the Mock Interview Program is to provide Robinson College of Business students an opportunity to develop and sharpen their interviewing skills with a professional recruiter or hiring manager. Interviewers will pose actual interview questions and students will respond just as if they are in a real interview. Afterwards, the interviewer will provide constructive feedback to students regarding their interview and their resume. Specifically, we are looking for Interviewers to help Robinson students by pointing out problem areas of their mock interview and also provide positive re-enforcement in the areas students have done well. Interviews are in 45-minute blocks beginning at 9:00 am for morning sessions and 1:00 pm for afternoon sessions.
Responsibilities of Interviewer
This program is designed for the student to have an opportunity to practice their interviewing skills with one of our business partners. Interviewers are asked to:
- Have had previous experience conducting behavioral interviews
- Provide relevant and candid feedback to students regarding their mock interview and resume
- Provide feedback on ways students can improve in specific areas of the interview
- Include affirmation comments where the student has done well
Logistics
During Mock Interview Week, Interviewers are asked to visit the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University's Downtown Campus for either a morning (9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) or an afternoon (1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.) session. Interviewers will meet with four students. If their schedule permits, we invite Interviewers to join us for lunch as part of their Robinson visit. Complimentary parking is available across the street from the Robinson College of Business at the Commerce Club on a space available basis.
