Furtherance of the College's Strategic Plan
An important objective in the College's continuous improvement efforts is "to reach the forefront in the creation and dissemination of knowledge that furthers the global competitiveness of organizations." The means for achieving this goal include facilitating faculty research on global issues, internationalizing the curricula, attracting internationally diverse students, and capitalizing on the College's proximity to international businesses.
The Center furthers the college's goals by:
- Providing enhanced focus on research and outreach in the area of development of transitional economies through facilitation of collaborative international activities of faculty, students, industry, and domestic and international partners.
- Engaging in activities that enhance the connection between business and social, political and economic stability.
- Promoting and facilitating solicitation of grants by all units of RCB from all sources for international activities in the area of the Center's mandate.
- Increasing the volume of grants to a level consistent with RCB's potential.
- Promoting internal and external visibility and prestige and elevating the local, national, and international stature of RCB through recognition for its contributions to the development of transitional economies as well as advancement of peace through global business.
- Contributing to the international efforts of the other RCB centers that have successfully implemented collaborative academic-industry-government applied research, teaching and service activities in the past.
