Edward "Ed" Ramirez Florida State University
Edward "Ed" Ramirez is a third year doctoral student at Florida State University. He earned an M.S. in International Affairs from Florida State University, an M.B.A. from California State University, and a B.A. in psychology from the University of Tennessee. His research interests are Services Marketing, Sustainability, and Research Methods. He has experience as both an entrepreneur and corporate executive, working for Moe's Southwest Grill, Chick-fil-A, and other companies. He was listed in Who's Who in Business 2001 and won the S. Truett Cathy Award in 1999. Ed received the Sheth Foundation MDSA Scholarship in 2007, the Arizona State University CSL/Liam Glynn Research in Services Fellowship 2008, and the Delores Auzenne Fellowship in 2007-08 and 2008-09. He has served as a reviewer for the 2007 and 2008 AMS and the 2008 and 2009 SMA conferences. He has also served as a 2007 Summer AMA high-impact sessions journalist. He has presented his research at the AMS, SMA, and the Southeastern Marketing Symposium. Ed has served as an officer for the PhD Marketing Doctoral Student Association planning committee for the past three years. He is currently the Vice President of the MDSA and was elected to serve as President for 2009-2010.
