The Society of Entrepreneurs

The Society of Entrepreneurs is an organization of selected, successful Atlanta-area business owners who desire to enhance their entrepreneurial skills and who would like to contribute to the success of future entrepreneurs through a close association with Georgia State University. The Society meets monthly (except July, August, and December) at The Commerce Club, usually for breakfast, and members interact with each other and with top-quality speakers.

In addition, through membership in the Society, financial support is provided for selected educational programs of GSU's Herman J. Russell, Sr. International Center for Entrepreneurship. Receiving top priority now is our Entrepreneurship Field Study course, an internship for entrepreneurship students. Society dues are partially used for financial aid to students in that course, which has provided more than $70,000 in scholarships.

Membership in the Society is by invitation only, and its size will be kept small to encourage lively interaction. The Society is limited to 3 sponsor-members and 25 regular members. Sponsor-members are entrepreneurial firms that contribute $10,000 annually to the Society, renewable indefinitely with the agreement of the Russell Entrepreneurship Center. Regular members are individual entrepreneurs who contribute $2,500 annually to the Society. Like sponsor-memberships, regular memberships are renewable indefinitely with the agreement of the Center.
