 | Overview: Enterprise-level (E-level) software implementation projects are high-profile, high-budget, and, sometimes, at high-risk-of-failure. Different organizational contexts, cultures, infrastructures, and strategies mean that there are no one-size-fits-all solutions; no two implementation projects are the same, even if the hardware and software are identical. This course provides techniques to successfully implement enterprise resource planning (ERP) and other E-level systems in a broad range of commercial and governmental organizations.
- Assess organizational readiness for ERP and identify levels of sponsorship among key stake holders
- Create ownership and empowerment to
build acceptance
- Evaluate and select proper implementation methodology based on company culture and business needs
- Master the essential elements of an E-level project framework
- Deal with organizational change manage ment issues by building effective E-level project teams with critical skill-sets and competencies
- Use software created to provide an enterprise management view of all IS
systems resources
- Identify potential points of resistance from stakeholders and develop mitigation plans for dealing with this resistance
