 | Overview: Enterprise-level (E-level) software management projects can be risky, expensive high-profile management challenges. This course provides techniques for managers to quantify the value proposition, deciding on whether to upgrade current e-level applications, and demonstrating the value provided by existing information systems (IS) resources. Topics include how service-oriented architecture (SOA) can be leveraged on existing platforms for targeted results; how to deliver key new functionality during upgrades; and how internal project proposals can reflect cost savings by leveraging existing platforms, skill sets, and processes.
- Position enterprise systems to deliver
timely results
- Create activity-based modeling basics to
support the go, no-go spend decision
- Use techniques for determining the total
cost of ownership for enterprise architecture projects
- Develop a framework for enhanced enterprise IT governance and
value assessment
- Produce competitive estimates for project proposals
Who Should Attend:
- People managing enterprise-level applications
- Members of implementation teams
- Managers tasked with using these resources to provide economic value to their firms
