Overview:
With increased managerial attention directed
towards extracting greater operational efficiencies from back-end processes, while also seeking to improve customer-facing services, organizations are turning to business process improvement to achieve these both goals. How to discover, capture, and then transform these processes remains a challenge.

A recent and widely-agreed-upon open standard for representing these business processes—one that also supports model-to-execution transformation—has been developed: business process modeling notation (BPMN). This two-day workshop is designed to provide a basic competency in the use of BPMN for modeling both as-is and to-be business processes.

Participants Will Learn to:

  • Capture a business process in BPMN
  • Identify basic metrics and objectives to
move as-is models to targeted to-be models
  • Use a free-to-download BPMN modeling-and-analysis tool to do process capture and simulation
  • Map BPMN models to popular business process management system (BPMS) platforms that provide out-of-the-box implementation of the process and associated process intelligence
Who Should Attend:
  • Business process analysts
  • Process owners
  • Process improvement specialists
  • Business process consultants
