Program Description
Every year, thousands of employees make the transition from individual contributor to manager. Some excel but most fail to thrive. The goal of this course is to teach the practical lessons that help a new manager become a first-rate leader.
The program is designed to help participants hone their skills in the following areas:
- essentials of flawless communication
- understanding and promoting teamwork
- managing power and politics
- techniques for effective decision making
- motivating others to their highest potential
- cutting-edge leadership strategies
In addition to helping participants understand the right way to develop as a manager, this program will also cover the "Top 10 Mistakes Managers Make" and how to avoid them. Ultimately, participation in this program should serve as a catalyst that will prepare a new manager to think like a leader.
This program will succeed by creating a fun and interactive environment for learning new techniques and practicing skills. By providing a comprehensive framework for leading and managing, this program will equip individual participants with the tools they need to become successful managers and leaders. Moreover, this program will help participants acquire knowledge that will enable them to avoid failure, an ability that is critical to the success of any company or new manager.
