Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with latent variables has become a quasi-standard in investigating complex causal relationships in business and social research.
Recently, PLS Path Modeling has encountered increasing popularity across many scientific disciplines as an easy, yet powerful, estimation technique for structural equation models. It is characterized by robustness, prediction orientation and its capability to estimate formative measurement models.
This seminar presents PLS Path Modeling as a flexible and powerful means to predict latent variables and to assess relationships between latent variables in academic research. Participants will learn how to apply PLS Path Modeling. Moreover, participants will be provided SmartPLS software.
In addition to an introduction to PLS Path Modeling and a SmartPLS tutorial, this seminar covers several advanced topics:
- modeling second-order constructs
- tests for mediating effects
- investigating moderating effects
- multi-group analysis
- identification of latent segments through Finite Mixture PLS Path Modeling.
This seminar is design for practicing business professionals, and for full-time faculty and students who are engaged in, or interested in, current techniques to perform Structured Equation Modeling (SEM) using PLS Path Modeling. To receive the academic discount , a participant must currently be a full-time faculty member, or a student at a college of university. All participants should have some knowledge of SEM techniques to assess structural and measurement model characteristics.
Taught by Jörg Henseler (Radboud University Nijmegen),Christian M. Ringle (University of Hamburg) and Geoffrey S. Hubona (Georgia State University).
Participants may bring a laptop with wireless connectivity. Participants will be provided with SmartPLS software, course notes and supplementary materials.
