Program Description
The effective use of wireless and mobile systems can enhance an organization's ability to deliver the right information whenever and wherever it is needed for decision making. The goal of this program is to provide participants with a comprehensive, high-level understanding of a range of wireless and mobile technologies. Upkar Varshney, Ph.D., a faculty member in the Computer Information Systems Department at Robinson since 1998, has been actively engaged in mobile and wireless technologies for more than 10 years. The editor of several major CIS journals, he has also chaired international conferences and has won multiple teaching awards. Upkar has published more than 100 articles in the areas of wireless, mobile commerce, and pervasive healthcare and has also taught courses in these areas.
