Dr. Agha Nabeel Khan Health Informatics Centers for Disease Control and Prevention PMBA 2009 | Dr. Agha Nabeel Khan: PMBA 2009
Dr. Agha Nabeel Khan works in the field of health informatics at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta. He is a physician with a diverse background in clinical medicine, public health and health informatics. Having worked in the field of health informatics for more than eight years, Dr. Khan is currently working in the areas of Capital Planning and Investment Control, Enterprise Architecture and Health Data Standards.
Dr. Khan's other professional experience includes working in a developing country in clinical medicine and public health. This background provides him a unique insight into public health and health informatics issues in the United States as well as in new emerging economies of the world. Dr. Khan's professional interests include project and portfolio management, governance, business strategic planning, disease surveillance and electronic information exchange. He has published numerous articles in professional journals and has delivered several presentations on health informatics topics at conferences and meetings.
Dr. Khan holds a medical degree from Allama Iqbal Medical College, Pakistan and a Master of Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins University. Currently, he is enrolled in the Professional MBA program at Georgia State University.
After Dr. Khan was given increased managerial responsibilities at the CDC, he felt it important to strengthen his leadership and management skills. After searching through different MBA programs, he selected the PMBA program at the Robinson College, which is ideal for working professionals and is one of the best-ranked MBA programs in the United States.

Dr. Khan believes that the knowledge and skills he is gaining through the program already are helping him handle some of the leadership and management challenges he faces in his profession. At the Robinson College, he also is establishing valuable networking connections and improving his knowledge in organization and operations management. He will graduate from the Robinson College in December 2009.
