Jane Li: PMBA 2009

Jane Li, a native of China who has resided in Atlanta for over 10 years, has been actively involved in the international realm, spending much of her time serving local Asian community organizations.

A native of Ningbo, China, Jane established Ningbo Business Promotion Association in 2004 and has been working diligently to promote the economic/trade, educational, cultural and tourism relationship between Ningbo and Atlanta.

In January 2006, Jane was designated by the Ningbo Foreign Investment Development Board as Georgia's representative to promote foreign investments. Jane also organizes delegation from Metro Atlanta and Georgia every year to attend the Zhejiang Investment and Trade Symposium and China International Consumer Goods Fair, which are the two largest annual events in Ningbo in June.

Jane established ACL International, Inc. in 2004. With her fluency in English and Chinese languages, understanding of both Chinese and American cultures, and extensive business and government resources, Jane provides business consulting services for companies that have business relations with China. She currently works with a number of U.S. companies on their Chinese business developments and also represents several Chinese companies to develop their businesses in the U.S. market.

Jane always has aspired to pursue an MBA degree. As she becomes increasingly involved in the business arena, the need for more industry knowledge has become essential for her to succeed at a higher level. With her extremely demanding schedule, Jane evaluated different MBA programs and decided that the Robinson College of Business' Professional MBA was the best choice. In her own words, the program provides the perfect combination of Timing, Location and People. Robinson's PMBA provides a flexible schedule that meshes well with a busy professional's lifestyle. Classes are conveniently offered in Alpharetta, helping students on the outskirts of the city avoid the stress of traveling downtown. And most importantly, the PMBA staff and professors always support and encourage the students, giving them individual attention, going above and beyond to resolve any issues. After being in the program for a year and a half, Jane appreciates this encouraging learning environment.

"GSU's PMBA program has not only been a great learning experience for me, but also a starting point of life-changing events [that will jumpstart my career]."
