Biography

Dr. Hilal teaches Entrepreneurship, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Theory and Intercultural Negotiation in the full-time MBA program at COPPEAD. She also teaches International Business II in the doctoral program and Culture and Management in the Executive MBA programs.

At PUC–Rio she taught an undergraduate course in Business Administration and at the Federal University of Espirito Santo – Brazil she taught in the Executive MBA program.

Her main research field focuses on the impact of Culture (at the national and organizational levels) in the management and in the internationalization process of firms. She has published several papers on culture, the internationalization of firms, globalization and other research topics related to the organizational field.  These papers have been presented in Brazilian and international congresses and have been published in journals and books. She also works in consultancy and in executive training in the fields of Organizations and International Business.

Dr. Hilal is Argentine and has been living in Brazil since 1973. She is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English.
