Global Partners MBA Internship Program

An Overview of the Global Partners MBA
The best way to understand the international market is to put oneself in the middle of it. The J. Mack Robinson College of Business has teamed with leading business schools in Rio de Janeiro (the COPPEAD Graduate School of Business, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) and in Paris (the IAE the Graduate Business School at the Sorbonne) to offer a truly global MBA. Students study on four continents over 14 months with extended residency stays at the Robinson College of Business in Atlanta, COPPEAD Graduate School of Business in Rio de Janeiro, IAE Graduate School of Business – Sorbonne in Paris and a two-week business tour of China. Courses are integrated across the partner schools, providing students with a true global perspective.

Program Themes: Executive Leadership and Commercial Diplomacy
Executive Leadership and Commercial Diplomacy are themes of the Global Partners MBA program. Beginning at the initial orientation and continuing throughout the entire program, participants encounter the latest leadership principles and practices. Every member of the program comes face-to-face with CEOs and other executives of Fortune 500/Global Fortune companies; well-known, successful entrepreneurs; and
high-ranking government leaders. The theme of Commercial Diplomacy focuses on providing students with a first-hand understanding of the interchange between the public and private sector. Students examine the creation and enhancement of commercial relations between companies, or their representatives, along with governments, policy-making bodies, regulators and political agencies, and make
comparisons and contrasts across four countries and four trading blocks. The Commercial Diplomacy theme launches with a short week in Washington, D.C. and unfolds over the course of the program, including other international agencies such as the EU Directorate.

Internship Requirements
At the end of 10 months of intensive coursework, students are required to complete a full-time, four-month internship. The internship represents the culmination of the classroom and experiences applied in a live situation. Graduates receive two internationally recognized master's degrees: a U.S. MBA degree from the Robinson College of Business and a European MBA degree from IAE – Sorbonne, along with a certificate from COPPEAD.
