Biography Dr. Mishra received his Ph.D. in Information Systems from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Before joining the Institute of Health Administration at the Robinson College of Business, he was on the faculty at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland and at the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.
Professor Mishra's research has focused on examining deep and integrative use of information technologies in organizational processes and strategies, and the impact of such usage. He has conceptualized and conducted several large-sample studies. He has collaborated with national professional organizations such as the Institute of Supply Management, American College of Physicians and American Medical Informatics Association. He also has been associated with and obtained funding from the Center for Health Information and Decision Systems at the University of Maryland at College Park and the Center for Research in Electronic Commerce at the University of Texas at Austin. Professor Mishra enjoys working on problems faced by real organizations and has provided pro-bono consulting to several not-for-profit organizations.
In his limited free time, Dr. Mishra enjoys outdoor activities, cooking, traveling, listening to jazz and classical music, and volunteering.
