Structure, Schedule and Location

Robinson’s Fast-Track Master of Global Hospitality Management is a year-long cohort program. Students proceed as a group through a sequenced curriculum of modules beginning each August. Courses meet at Georgia State University’s Buckhead Center on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 - 9:45 p.m.

Curriculum

The rigorous 10-course curriculum provides graduates with in-depth knowledge of the global impact of the hospitality industry. Students also benefit from extensive contact with industry executives, guest speakers, and professional and social events. Each of the following courses in the Fast-Track Master's in Global Hospitality Management is three credit hours. Four courses within the curriculum comprise the Certificate in Sustainable Hospitality Management.

  • Global Trends in the Foodservice Industry
  • Global Trends in the Lodging Industry
  • International Special Event Management
  • Financial Management Applications in Hospitality Enterprises

  • Sustainable Operations in Hospitality
  • Hospitality and Tourism Research Methodology
  • Applied Industry-Based Research Project

Candidate Profile

Candidates must hold a four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university that is the equivalent of a four-year undergraduate degree in the U.S. Professional experience is preferred but not required.

Admissions

Candidates must complete and submit an online application by July 1, which includes a current resume, $50 application fee, essays, transcripts for all post-secondary education and GMAT or GRE scores. Students accepted with non business undergraduate degrees are required to take online preparatory courses prior to starting the program. Applicants who are strong candidates for the program will be interviewed by the admissions committee prior to acceptance. Candidates will be selected based on their application, interview and the ability to handle demanding coursework.

Fees, Tuition and Services

Tuition is $36,000* for fall 2013, payable in three installments of $12,000, which covers all class materials, textbooks, iPad, parking, meals/snacks and professional development services offered by Robinson’s Career Management Center. A non-refundable orientation and program fee of $250 is due upon enrollment.
