    Using MiniDV

    Blackbursting a MiniDV
Blackbursting your MiniDV tape adds a time code and reduces dropped frames and timecode breaks when transferring recording to a computer, DVR or other media.

Blackbursting takes real time. A 60 minute MiniDV tape will take 60 minutes to blackburst.

    To Blackburst:
    1. Turn the camera on
    2. Insert MiniDV tape
    3. Securely fasten lens cap
    4. Press record

Procedure for Transferring Images from MiniDV to DVD Before Returning
If you would like to turn your MiniDV to a DVD then you will need to reserve the DVR Station. This will need to be done BEFORE the digital camera is returned. This occurs in real time so please allow enough time to accomplish this. For example, if you record 20 minutes of video on the MiniDV videotape, it will take approximately 20 minutes to transfer this information.
