But Schuerholz says what he does know is that "our environment is unwavering. It is not an environment of accommodation. It is steadfast. It is consistent. It is principled and you fit into that environment. I don’t have any reason to doubt that Barry wouldn’t have fit into this. It’s easier for guys who are individuals and who have been accommodated all their lives...to expect to be coddled because they always have been...but over here they are not."

John Schuerholz - Built to WinAt this writing it was unclear whether the Braves would again make the National League playoffs. It is inconceivable that the team’s run will continue ad infi nitum. What is conceivable, however, is that given his track record, his skill as an executive, and his unwavering leadership style, John Schuerholz will forever keep the Braves in the thick of the race. They will always be "Built to Win."

"Your conversation is your personal advertisement; for every time."
– John Schuerholz from Built to Win
