ROBINSON’S CIS PROGRAM BEST IN WORLD FOR RESEARCH PRODUCTIVITY
The Computer Information Systems (CIS) Department has been ranked first in the world for research productivity in a study
published in a recent issue of Communications of the Association for Information Systems. In addition, Detmar Straub, J. Mack Robinson Distinguished Professor and director of Robinson’s doctoral program, and Associate Professor Upkar Varshney, were ranked among the top information systems (IS) researchers. • The College’s doctoral program also scored high in research productivity, ranking first among all universities whose doctoral students publish in the leading IS journals. • The study was based on reviews of publications from the seven leading IS journals during the calendar years 2001 to 2005. • Last year Robinson’s CIS Department was ranked first in the world for research productivity in a study published by the Association for Information Systems. • Robinson’s CIS Department is also ranked among the top 10 graduate and undergraduate programs in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.
NONPROFITS VULNERABLE

Whereas in business, people readily
recognize that

thing can
happen.’’
