Department of Management

What current Management majors need to know:

What if I want to remain a Management major?

• Only students who have completed one or more 4000-level MGT prefix courses by the end of Summer Session 2004 will be permitted to continue as Management majors.

• Effective Fall Semester 2004, MGT 4010 (a course required of Management majors) will be discontinued. Any continuing Management majors who have not taken MGT 4010 will take MGS 4000 as a substitution for MGT 4010.

• Current Management majors have until the end of Summer Session 2005 to complete their degree requirements.  After Summer 2005, any remaining Management majors must switch to Managerial Sciences or another major.  Application to change to other majors will follow the standard process.

Reminder:  If you will be graduating before September 2005, you do not have to do anything different than your current plan (with the exception of substituting for the discontinued MGT 4010 if you have not yet taken MGT 4010).

What if I want to become a Managerial Sciences major?

• Current Management majors who have taken one or more 4000-level MGT prefix courses by the end of Summer Session 2004 may switch to the BBA in Managerial Sciences if they wish.

• Any declared Management majors who have not completed one or more 4000-level MGT prefix courses by the end of Summer Session 2004 will switch to Managerial Sciences.

What new Management or Business Analysis majors need to know:

• Effective Fall Semester 2004, no new students may choose the BBA in Business Analysis.

• Effective Fall Semester 2004, no new students may choose the BBA in Management.
