The Center for Mature Consumer Studies Research Report

10. National Study of the Mature Market for Travel and Leisure Services

This national study is based on a random sample of 1,750 adults, including 1,269 age 55 and over.  The report focuses on older Americans' preferences for selected travel and leisure services, and on other purchasing habits concerning travel and leisure.  Preferences for sources of information for vacation/travel packages are analyzed, as well as preferences for methods of payment of airline tickets and hotel/motel accommodations.  Reasons for selecting specific airlines, cruise lines, and hotels/motels are analyzed.  These preferences and motives are analyzed by sociodemographic characteristics and lifestyles; and they are compared to those of younger (under 55) adults. © 1997.  Length: 140 pages.  $150.00
