BusinessWeek and Forbes Magazine Place Robinson College in Top Rankings

The J. Mack Robinson College of Business Executive MBA program was ranked 20th worldwide by BusinessWeek magazine. The ranking is published in this week's edition and is also available under the B-schools section of the businessweek.com website.

This is the first year since 1991 that BusinessWeek actually ranked schools. The rankings are based upon surveys of over 3,000 graduates of 82 B-schools worldwide, as well as a poll of EMBA directors at those 82 schools.

Sidney Harris, Dean of the Robinson College, said, "Our college is very results oriented. The fact that this ranking is based largely upon the views of our graduates is a real credit to the quality of our executive education program and to the faculty who prepare students to compete effectively in today's marketplace."

In addition to its leading EMBA program that was founded in 1981, the college recently introduced a second executive masters program in Global E-Management.

In a related matter, Forbes Magazine published its annual "best value" list for regional schools which again included Robinson in the top 20. The college moved from 8th overall to 17, but the 2001 list was expanded to encompass schools whose program costs are $95,000 or less - instead of the $90,000 figure used last year. Once again the college also ranked best in the state of Georgia.

The J. Mack Robinson College of Business is one of the nation's top business schools. The college's Flex (part-time) MBA program has been listed in the top ten by U.S. News for the past six years. Success magazine ranks the college's entrepreneurship program among the top 50 in the nation. Georgia State University's Robinson College of Business has an enrollment of over 8000 students.
