November 14, 2001 - The college, in conjunction with the Society of Financial Service Professionals and the Atlanta Business Chronicle,  sponsored the first Georgia Business Ethics Award, presented to Convergent Media Systems. Dean Sidney Harris addressed a group of nearly 100 financial service professionals and other community leaders at the awards luncheon held Friday, November 2, at the Cobb Galleria. He spoke of the importance of both ethical behavior and community service on the part of corporations.

Dr. Ellwood F. (Ebb) Oakley, associate professor in the Risk Management and Insurance Department, spearheaded Robinson's involvement. The Georgia Business Ethics Awards will be presented annually. For more on this award go to The Atlanta Business Chronicle.
