Robinson's Undergraduate Programs Rank Among the Top in the Nation According to U.S. News and World Report

  • 28th - Accounting program

September 13, 2002 (ATLANTA) -- The J. Mack Robinson College of Business' undergraduate program ranked among the top 50 nationally by U.S. News and World Report in its 2003 survey of America's Best Colleges released today. Earlier this year, the College was ranked by the publication as having the fifth best part-time MBA program in the nation for the second consecutive year.

 The 2003 survey also ranks Robinson's Risk Management & Insurance program second overall and first among public universities, the E-commerce program 12th overall, Management Information Systems program 12th, and Accounting 28th.

 "To be ranked among the top 50 undergraduate business schools in the nation reflects highly on our faculty, staff and students, " said Dr. Sidney E. Harris, dean of the Robinson College of Business. "We are especially proud of the success of our individual departments and are pleased to see the addition of Accounting among the list of top programs."

 H. Fenwick Huss, associate dean, said, "The additions of new international curriculum and freshman learning communities are among those that have helped strengthen Robinson's overall business program. We are pleased that these efforts and others have been recognized in the U.S. News rankings."

The rankings are included in the magazine's annual special edition guidebook titled "America's Best Graduate Schools." The guidebook and the magazine (September 23rd issue) containing excerpts from the guide will be available on newsstands Monday, September 16. The expanded online rankings are already available at www.usnews.com.
The Robinson College of Business currently has approximately 5600 students enrolled in its undergraduate business program.
