Robinson Appoints W. Preston Wilson New Associate Dean for Executive Education

January 14, 2002- The J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University announced today the appointment of W. Preston Wilson to Associate Dean for Executive Education. Wilson will lead and manage the College's Executive MBA program, ranked among the top 20 in the world by Business Week Magazine. His focus will also include enhancing and building the College's relationships with corporate sponsors to design and deliver customized programs. Wilson will report directly to Sidney E. Harris, Dean of the College.

"With demand for executive education on the rise, we must continue to expand and enhance our program to meet the growing needs of today's executive student. An experienced business leader skilled in the art of relationship building, Preston's educational background combined with his real world business acumen makes him the ideal candidate to lead Robinson's Executive Education program now and into the future."

Prior to joining Robinson, Wilson was president and chief executive officer for Generation21 Learning Systems, a division of Renaissance Learning, where he was responsible for the company's sales and marketing, finance, product support, and research and development.

In 1993, he co-founded QualMark Corporation, a leader in advanced testing and engineering solutions, and guided the company to a successful IPO.  As the company's chief executive officer, Wilson tripled its revenue base and built global partnerships with companies in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

In addition, Wilson served as president and chief executive officer for Vital Choice, Inc, management consultant for BPI Associates and vice president of operations planning and development for Caremark, a home health care services company.

 Wilson has a Ph.D. and Master of Arts (MA) from the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management. He also earned a master's of business administration (MBA) from Pepperdine University where he also served as an adjunct professor of business strategy.

 Wilson sits on the board of directors of ENSCO, Inc. He is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD).
