Robinson's Undergraduate Business Program Ranks in Top 25 Among Publics; Advances Eight Positions in U.S. News Survey

August 22, 2003 (ATLANTA) - The J. Mack Robinson College of Business' undergraduate program ranked among the top 50 nationally and 25 among public universities by U.S. News and World Report in its 2004 survey of America's Best Colleges released today. The College advanced eight positions from 47th to 39th overall (28th to 24th among public universities). Earlier this year, the College was ranked by the publication as having the fifth best part-time MBA program in the nation for the third consecutive year.
The 2004 survey also ranks Robinson's Risk Management & Insurance program second overall (first among public universities), Management Information Systems program 10th overall (sixth among public universities) and Real Estate program ranked 10th (eighth among public universities.)
"We are particularly proud of our overall undergraduate program which continues to establish itself as one of the best in the nation," said Dr. Sidney E. Harris, dean of the Robinson College of Business. "Also to be commended are our individual departments that have excelled in this year's rankings."
The rankings are included in the magazine's annual special edition guidebook titled "America's Best Colleges." The guidebook and the magazine containing excerpts from the guide will be available on newsstands Monday, August 25. The expanded online rankings are already available at http://www.usnews.com/.
The Robinson College of Business currently has approximately 5600 students enrolled in its undergraduate business program. __________________________________________________________
