Robinson College Appoints Three New Board Members
November 18, 2003 (ATLANTA, GA) Sandra Bergeron, executive vice president of corporate development and strategic research for Network Associates, Inc.; Steven Klinger, executive vice president, president-packaging for Georgia-Pacific, Corp.; and Franklin Rinker, president and chief executive officer of Gwinnett Health System have been appointed to the Board of Advisors for the Robinson College of Business it was announced today by Dean Sidney E. Harris.
Bergeron, a Robinson graduate, is located at the company's headquarters in Santa Clara, CA and is responsible for the company's overall business strategy. Her national reputation as a securities expert, coupled with her management expertise, earned her the distinction as one of Network World's 50 most powerful executives in networking in 2001.
Klinger is a native Atlantan and has been with Georgia-Pacific since graduating from Robinson in 1982 with a degree in accounting. He began his career with the company as a payroll accountant and steadily moved up the ranks. In 1991, he entered the company's management trainee program. In 2001, Klinger was named president of the company's packaging division.
Rinker has been with Gwinnett Health System and its predecessor, Gwinnett Hospital System since 1982. He serves as chairman of the CEO Council for the PROMINA Health System and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. In 1991, he was named American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Georgia Affiliate of the Year.
"Each of our new board members brings a distinguished background and a unique perspective to our group of advisors and I look forward to their contributions to the College," said Harris.
