January 25, 2005 (Atlanta) Business professionals in the Alpharetta area will gain convenient access to one of the world's leading Executive MBA (EMBA) programs when the J. Mack Robinson College of Business launches an EMBA at Georgia State University's Alpharetta Center.
The Alpharetta EMBA, identical to the program offered at the College's downtown location, will be an 18-month, co-hort program focused on leadership. Designed for the busy executive, classes will meet twice a month on Fridays and Saturdays.
"Since the Alpharetta Center opened almost five years ago, we have enjoyed enormous support from the community and now offer close to 80 business courses and serve approximately 1500 North Fulton students," said H. Fenwick Huss, dean of the Robinson College. "By bringing our EMBA program to Alpharetta, business executives can now take advantage of our internationally ranked program right in their own backyard."
As part of the program, students in the Alpharetta EMBA will join students from the downtown location for a two-week international residency in Asia. Proclaimed by alumni as one of the highlights of the program, students are immersed into the culture, customs and business practices of such cities as Bangkok, Beijing and Shanghai.
