Robinson Faculty Honored For Excellence

June 06, 2005 (Atlanta) - The J. Mack Robinson College of Business honored three of its own with the 2005 Board of Advisors Faculty Excellence Award. The annual award recognizes faculty members for excellence in teaching, research and service.
This year's recipients are James Senn (teaching), Arun Rai (research), and Veda Storey (service).
Senn, director of the Center for Global Business Leadership and professor of the Institute of International Business and Computer Information Systems, consistently receives high marks from his students for his dynamic teaching style. He is the author of several leading books on management and information systems and has taught in both the MBA and Executive MBA programs at Robinson for more than 20 years.
Rai, James A. Harkins III Professor of Computer Information Systems, has received multiple awards for his research. His expertise is in digitally-enabled business networks, supply chain management, and information technology innovation. He serves, or has served, on the editorial boards of Decision Sciences, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, and others.
Storey is the Tull professor in the department of computer information systems who is lauded for her service to the community, the university, the college and her department. She is the associate editor of eight leading academic journals, has served as treasurer for the Workshop on Information Technologies, and is a member of Robinson's MBA steering committee.
Nominations for the Faculty Recognitions Awards are submitted by department chairs and are selected based on criteria set by members of the college's Executive Committee.
