January 31, 2005 (Atlanta) The J. Mack Robinson College of Business has been recognized as one of the world's top 100 business schools for faculty research in a study by The School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD). Robinson's faculty was ranked 43rd worldwide and 39th in the U.S.
"The foundation for excellence of any business school is the caliber of its faculty members," said H. Fenwick Huss, dean at Robinson. "This recognition combined with the college's other national rankings, speaks to the strength of our faculty and solidifies our position among the world's leaders in business education."
The rankings are based on a database created by The Center for Information Technology Management at UTD which tracks faculty contributions in 22 leading business journals for the period 2000 to 2005. The journals represent a variety of disciplines and include publications such as the Journal of Accounting Research, the Journal of Financial Economics, MIS Quarterly, Journal of Consumer Research, the Academy of Management Journal, and the Journal of International Business Studies.
