U.S. News Survey: Robinson's Undergraduate Business Program Ranked Among Top 50; Risk Management Continues Leadership Position

August 19, 2005 (Atlanta) -  The J. Mack Robinson College of Business' undergraduate program ranked among the top 50 in U.S.News and World Report's 2005 annual survey of America's Best Colleges released today. Additionally, the college's Risk Management & Insurance program, which has been in the top five for seven consecutive years, was ranked 2nd in the nation behind The Wharton School and first among public universities.

The 2005 survey also ranks Robinson's Real Estate program 8th overall and its Management Information Systems program 10th overall. Earlier this year, the publication ranked the College's part-time MBA program among the top ten programs in the nation for the tenth consecutive year. 

"The fact that the Robinson College has once again been recognized among the top undergraduate business programs in the nation is a testament to the quality of our students, faculty and staff," said H. Fenwick Huss, dean of the Robinson College of Business. "The college's top marks in three specialty areas further illustrate our strengths, and these rankings place us among an elite group of business schools nationwide."

The rankings are included in the magazine's annual special edition guidebook titled "America's Best Colleges." The guidebook and the magazine containing excerpts from the guide will be available on newsstands Monday, August 22. The expanded online rankings are available at http://www.usnews.com/.

The Robinson College of Business currently has approximately 5200 students enrolled in its undergraduate business program.

The J. Mack Robinson College of Business is one of the top-ranked business schools in the nation. The College's Flex (part-time) MBA program has been listed in the top ten by U.S. News for the past ten consecutive years and its undergraduate business program is ranked among the top 50 in the nation. The College's Executive MBA program is listed on The Financial Times list of the world's top ranked offerings and BusinessWeek magazine ranks it 24th in the world. Georgia State University's Robinson College of Business has an enrollment of more than 7000 students and is located in downtown Atlanta.
