Georgia State University's Robinson College of Business Announces
2006 Business Hall of Fame Honorees
March 9, 2006 (Atlanta, GA) - Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin; Michael Eskew, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for UPS; and Jere Drummond, retired Vice Chairman of BellSouth Corporation have been named 2006 inductees into Georgia State University and the J. Mack Robinson College's Business Hall of Fame.
The Business Hall of Fame provides the highest recognition given by the college to business leaders for their efforts in advancing the principles of the free market system while serving Atlanta's national and international business communities.
"Shirley Franklin, Michael Eskew and Jere Drummond each have contributed to making Atlanta what it is today. Their achievements and their leadership in business and community serve as examples for us all," said H. Fenwick Huss, dean of the J. Mack Robinson College of Business. "We are proud and honored to welcome them into the Business Hall of Fame."
For the fourth consecutive year Bank of America is serving as the presenting sponsor of the Hall of Fame event dinner which will be held this year at the RitzCarlton Buckhead on May 11.
