Competing as Miss Peachtree City USA, she won the honor to represent the Peach State at the nationally televised Miss USA pageant. She will compete live on NBC on March 23, 2007 for the chance to represent the USA in the Miss Universe pageant later that year.
Ms. Swann competed in the 2006 pageant and placed as 3rd Runner Up. In an effort to earn her shot at the Miss USA title, she utilized her marketing skills to revamp her strategy and emerge victorious. She enjoys weight training, cooking and entertaining.
"I would like to continue my work with the youth in getting them more interested in involvement in their communities," stated Brittany when asked about her plans for the year as Miss Georgia USA. She further stated that "self esteem as related to health and nutrition is an issue for young adults, especially young women that I am particularly concerned with focusing on during my year."
Brittany's ultimate career aspiration is to work in the entertainment or fashion industry. Combing her love for entertaining and fashion design would be the job that she loves. She presently works as model as she pursues her academic dreams. She would also like to pursue her MBA once she has moved on to the next phase of her life.
When asked how she was enjoying her new job as Georgia's representative in the nation's second oldest pageant, she replied, "it has been so amazing and I cannot wait to do even more." Brittany also assumes double duty as she is the official Chic-Fil-A Peach Bowl Queen and will be seen live on December 30, 2006 in the Chic-Fil-A Peach Bowl Parade and Chic-Fil-A Peach Bowl Game.
Amidst her busy schedule as Miss Georgia USA, Ms. Swann plans to remain actively involved in the Boy's and Girl's Club as Leadership Board Director. She was featured as an Emerging Leader for the Class of 2003 and MLK Day of Service Group Leader and Volunteer. A member of the American Marketing Association, she is also on the Dean's List.
