Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin; Spanx Founder and Owner Sara Blakely Among Speakers Coming to Robinson
January 13, 2006 - Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin, named one of the top five mayors in the nation by Time Magazine in 2005; and Sara Blakely, founder and owner of Spanx, will join other executives from some of Atlanta's top companies during the Spring 2006 edition of the Atlanta Business Leaders Speakers Series at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business.
Blakely will kick-off the series on Wednesday, January 25th at 5:30 p.m. at the Rialto Center at College's Downtown Campus.
This year's speakers schedule includes:

Shirley Franklin, Mayor, City of Atlanta (Downtown Campus Wednesday, February 1 at 7:30 a.m.)
Joe Sansone, CEO, Pediatria (Alpharetta Center Wednesday, April 5 at 7:30 a.m.)
Donna Lee, chief marketing officer, BellSouth (Downtown Campus Tuesday, April 11 at 7:30 a.m.)
Keith Ferrazzi, author, N ever Eat Alone (Downtown Campus Wednesday, April 19 at 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.)
The Speakers' Series provides students and alums with an opportunity to meet and hear presentations from executives with Atlanta's top companies and other business leaders. Past speakers have included Ben DeCosta, Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson General Manager; Richard Bowers, president of Richard Bowers and Company; Michael Troy, vice president of human resources for Siemens; David Dodd, president and CEO of Serilogicals Corporation; and Mario Concha, president of the chemical division for Georgia-Pacific.
