Robinson Executive MBA Program Looks to Enhance Alumni Network; Names Top EMBA Professional to Consulting Post

August 3, 2007 - (ATLANTA, GA) -  Maury C. Kalnitz, one of the nation's top Executive MBA (EMBA) administrators has joined the J. Mack Robinson College of Business as Consultant to the Dean. A Robinson EMBA alumnus ('85), Kalnitz's first assignment will be to work with the College's internationally ranked EMBA program to enhance and further develop alumni relations.

Kalnitz recently retired as managing director of the Executive MBA Council, a non-profit association designed to advance executive education worldwide. As the first to hold the position, he helped guide the organization and strengthened relationships with its strategic partners and corporate members. From 1992 to 1998, he served as director of Robinson's EMBA program responsible for marketing, curriculum development, faculty and alumni relationships, and program administration. As director, Kalnitz expanded the program's international focus, redesigned the curriculum and increased enrollment.

"Maury's experience is invaluable and we are fortunate to have him back at Robinson," said Robinson Dean Fenwick Huss. "As a former Robinson EMBA student, program director and as head of the EMBA Council, he brings with him a unique perspective that will help to further bridge relationships between our current students and alumni and the business community."

Kalnitz began his career as an engineer and spent most of his corporate life as a software development executive for IBM heading up the company's operations for software development in Europe. He also held a similar leadership role in marketing for IBM's Asia operations. After serving as director of Robinson's EMBA program, Kalnitz briefly served as president of American InterContinental University's Dunwoody Campus before joining the Executive MBA Council in 2000.

"My experience at Robinson as a student was an extremely valuable one which enabled me to make quantum jumps in my career," said Kalnitz. "I'm looking forward to working with Dean Huss, the EMBA staff, students and alumni to develop programs that will better serve and further connect our MBA graduates."

Robinson's EMBA is ranked among the best programs in the world by Financial Times. The 16 -month program is designed for mid-career executives.
