Financial Times Ranks Robinson's Executive MBA Among World's Best
October 22, 2007 - (ATLANTA, GA) - For the fifth consecutive year, the Executive MBA (EMBA) program of the J. Mack Robinson College of Business has been ranked among the top programs in the world in a survey by the Financial Times. The 2007 EMBA ranking, released today, places Robinson 57th in the world and in the top 25 schools in the U.S. among the hundreds of schools offering EMBA programs.
Robinson's EMBA program advanced one spot over last year and 11 positions since its first appearance on the list in 2003.
Robinson Dean H. Fenwick Huss said, "We are proud, once again, to be recognized among the world's most elite executive programs. This ranking is confirmation that our EMBA program continues to grow in stature as one of the world's leading resources for executive education and is a tribute to the quality of our faculty, staff and students."
Added Dave Forquer, assistant dean of Executive Programs, "One of the most significant elements of the Financial Times ranking is its survey of EMBA students. Therefore, our position among the best programs in the world confirms for us that we are delivering on our promise and helping our students develop as global business leaders."
Robinson's EMBA is an accelerated course of study that allows students to earn a degree in just 16 months. Classes meet every other week on Friday and Saturday at Georgia State University's Executive Education Center in Buckhead. One of the highlights of the program is an international residency that immerses students in the culture, business climate and business practices of international trade. Past residencies have included study in India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, Argentina, Spain, Belgium, Czech Republic, Greece, the Netherlands and Iceland.
The Financial Times 2007 survey, which ranked the top 89 EMBA programs in the world, is based on a survey of graduates from the 2004 EMBA class combined with statistical data in 16 categories from each school.
