U.S. News Survey: Robinson's Undergraduate Business Program Ranks in Top 25 of Public Universities; Risk Management Jumps to 4th in Nation; Computer Information Systems, 8th; Real Estate, 11th

August 22, 2008 (ATLANTA) The undergraduate program at Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business ranked among the nation's top 25 public school business school programs (24th among public institutions, 52nd overall) in U.S. News and World Report's 2009 annual survey of America's Best Colleges, released today. Additionally, Robinson's Risk Management and Insurance program was ranked 4th in the nation, jumping three spots from number seven last year; Computer Information Systems moved to 8the from 10th last year; and Real Estate was listed 11th, down from 8the in the 2008 ranking.
Earlier this year, the publication ranked the college's part-time MBA program 5th in the nation and among the top 10 programs for the 13the consecutive year.
"Being once again recognized among the top undergraduate business programs in the nation is a testament to the quality of our students, faculty and staff," said H. Fenwick Huss, dean of the Robinson College of Business. "The college's top marks in three specialty areas further illustrate our strengths and place us among an elite group of business schools nationwide."
The rankings are included in the magazine's annual special edition guidebook titled America's Best Colleges. The guidebook and magazine containing excerpts from the guide will be available on newsstands Monday, August 25. The expanded online rankings are available here.
