McChesney to Head Grad Recruiting, Student Services at Georgia State's Robinson College

August 5, 2009 - (ATLANTA) - Toby McChesney has been named director of the newly formed Graduate Recruiting and Student Services Department at Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business.

McChesney was previously head of Robinson's Professional MBA (PMBA) program. In his new role, he will oversee recruiting, admissions and student support for the PMBA, the Flex MBA program and specialized master's programs, including the new Executive Master of Science in Finance and Executive Master of Science in Managing Information Technology.

According to Jane Mutchler, associate dean for academic programs and planning, "We are extremely pleased that Toby has accepted the challenge of this expanded role. Toby's skill and expertise in recruiting and student services will benefit the college as well as the 5,000-plus students who are enrolled in our MBA and master's programs."

McChesney joined Robinson in the fall of 2008 from Emory's Goizueta Business School, where he was associate director of Executive MBA Admissions. Since then he has overseen the continued growth of Robinson's PMBA, including its expansion to the college's new Georgia State Peachtree-Dunwoody Center. Prior to Emory, he served in student recruiting at American University in Washington, DC.

McChesney holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics and Government from American University and a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from George Washington University. He is currently working on his doctoral degree in higher educational leadership.
