Biography
Dr. Julian Diaz's teaching responsibilities include management of real estate assets, real estate financing, quantitative analyses for real estate, corporate real estate, and behavioral research seminar in real estate. He served as Doctoral Coordinator for the Department from 1992 until 1999. He has been active in curriculum development and doctoral education, chairing four dissertation committees and serving as member of five others. Since joining Robinson in 1992 as a member of the Real Estate faculty, Julian has been an active member of the University community and has served as a member or chair of numerous committees, including the RCB Faculty Development Commiittee, Graduate Programs Council, and Promotion & Tenure Committee. As interim Associate Dean for Masters Programs in 2004-05, Julian worked hard on behalf of our students and faculty during that important transition year as the college implemented the new MBA curriculum.

Before entering academia, he held industry positions as research analyst, consultant and commercial real estate appraiser. He is the author or co-author of approximately 20 refereed scholarly and professional publications and has presented his research in numerous academic forums in the US and the UK. Notable is his work in the area of behavioral real estate research. He has served his profession as special editor of the Journal of Property Valuation and Investment, as ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of Real Estate Research, Real Estate Economics, Real Estate Practice and Education, and Real Estate Research Issues and as session chair in panel discussions presented by the American Real Estate Society.
