The Real Estate Research Center (RERC) is a long-standing component of the Department of Real Estate. The Georgia Board of Regents approved its creation in 1979 as an independent operating entity. The Director of the RERC reports to the Chair of the Department of Real Estate.

Since its inception, the RERC has provided research and educational services to the real estate industry in Atlanta and Georgia.  It has performed studies for local firms and trade organizations on selected topics.  It has provided educational programs for both private and public sector clients.
