Nita Robinson Scholars Program
In honor of Mrs. Nita Robinson, J. Mack Robinson endowed The Nita Robinson Scholars Program for $1 million. The scholarships are awarded to students to further their understanding of the global business environment. The following students received the awards for Fall 2001 and Spring 2002:

Picket Riggs Scholarship
The Pickett Riggs Scholarship was established by the Young Alumni Council to honor Mrs. Pickett Riggs, former teacher of quantitative methods (decision sciences), who was one of the university's most highly esteemed teachers. Faculty Scholarship Award
To acknowledge a continuous and long-term commitment to academic excellence. Awarded to students who maintain a 4.0 grade-point-average in the course of accruing a minimum 36 credit hours over a period of no more than four consecutive semesters in residence at Georgia State University within a period of 36 months.

Financial Executive Institure Scholar Awards
Each year the Atlanta Chapter of Financial Executive Institute (FEI) honors five juniors based on nominations by FEI members, academic achievement, community service and faculty recommendations.  Students receive a cash award and a plaque.

William W. Cotterman Outstanding Student Award
Each year, the computer information systems department honors the student in the MS-CIS program with the most outstanding academic record. Called the William W. Cotterman Award, it is named for the first chairman of the CIS department at Georgia State University. Winners of this award receive a cash award and their names are engraved on a plaque that hangs in the lobby of the CIS department.

James P. Rozelle Outstanding Programmer Award
Each year, the computer information systems department honors the student in the MS-CIS program with the most outstanding academic record in the programming courses. Called the James P. Rozelle Outstanding Programmer award, it is named for a former faculty member of the CIS department at Georgia State University. Winners of this award receive a cash award and their names are engraved on a plaque that hangs in the lobby of the CIS department.

H. Talmage Dobbs, Jr. Outstanding Finance Student Award
This award is named after Mr. H. Talmage Dobbs, Jr., past chairman of the board of Life of Georgia and a Georgia State alum.  The award is presented to the outstanding undergraduate finance major over the past year.  The criteria used to determine the recipients include classroom performance and recommendations from past instructors.

This award is given to an undergraduate finance major in honor of Jack Dunn, former Commissioner of Banking and Finance for the State of Georgia.  The recipient of this award is chosen based on the student's academic record.

Endowed in memory of Evelyn S. Bowyer, alumna and longtime Georgia State employee, by family, friends and colleagues, this award is given annually to a woman majoring in Finance.

Institute of Health Administration

R. C. Williams, M.D. Honor Award
The R. C. Williams, M.D., Honor Award was established to honor the late Dr. Williams, who founded the Hospital Administration program at GSU in 1952.  The award is given to the MBA/MHA student demonstrating outstanding leadership in the profession through university, community and work-related endeavors.

Everett A. Johnson Scholarship
The Everett A. Johnston Scholarship was established to honor Dr. Johnson, a long-time leader in health administration, upon his retirement as Institute Director in 1998. The scholarship is awarded to an MBA/MHA student for academic excellence.

R. J. Knobel Scholarship
This scholarship was established upon Dr. Roland "Knob" Knobel's retirement in 1985, after teaching in the Institute since 1970.  Academic performance and financial need are considered in making these two awards, one to a first-year student and one to a second-year student in the MBA/MHA program.

Max G. Holland Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is presented annually to the student in the MBA/MHA program with the highest grade-point average.  The scholarship was established in memory of Dr. Max Holland, who was on the faculty of the Institute from 1976 to 1989.

Commercial Real Estate Women Of Atlanta Award
A scholarship underwritten by the Staubach Company.  The award includes a one-year honorary membership in CREW Atlanta.  The recipient is selected based on academic achievement, leadership skills, and potential for success in a real estate career.

Georgia Ccim Chapter Scholarship
Funded by the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute, the scholarship is given annually to one undergraduate real estate major planning a career in commercial real estate.  In addition to the cash award, the recipient receives complimentary enrollment in the first course toward receiving the CCIM designation.  The selection criteria include academic achievement, extracurricular activities, communication skills, and professional commitment.

International Development Research Council Southeast Chapter Award
A fund created by the IDRC to support students working on research projects under the direction of faculty through the Real Estate Research center.  In addition to the cash award, recipients are also invited to participate in Chapter meetings.
