W. T. Beebe Institute of Personnel and Employment Relations

MICHAEL JAY JEDEL AWARD IN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
This scholarship is named in honor of Michael Jay Jedel, a former associate dean of the Robinson College of Business and director of the W. T. Beebe Institute of Personnel and Employment Relations. It is presented annually to an M.S. or M.B.A. student who exhibits high standards of academic achievement, strong commitment to the human resources field, and outstanding leadership potential.

WILLIAM P. KEY SCHOLARSHIP
Named in honor of a distinguished Atlanta human resource professional, Georgia State University graduate, and Executive in Residence at the Beebe Institute, and awarded for outstanding performance in a master's level human resource management degree program.

Renise Francis

WILLIAM T. RUTHERFORD SCHOLARSHIP
Awarded to the students in any graduate level human resource management programs who best exemplify the high achievement and zest for learning which Professor Rutherford so valued.

Matthew Hall

ATLANTA ENGINEERING PERSONNEL ASSOCIATION
Awarded to a master's level student in human resource management, this scholarship is presented to the student with a high GPA, significant work experience in human resources and a commitment to the human resources field. It is presented by the Atlanta Engineering Personnel Association.

Cecil B. Day Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Cecil B. Day Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to honor the founder of Days Inns. It is presented to hospitality majors based on academic achievement, school and community involvement and work experience.

The Rama Scholarship for the American Dream
Georgia State University's School of Hospitality is one of 14 programs nationwide selected to receive Rama Scholarships. These scholarships were established by the Rama brothers, principals of JHM Hotels. They are presented to students based on hospitality work experience, extracurricular involvement and academic achievement.

Based on a national competition, this honor is based on a student's academic achievement, foodservice work experience and career goals in the restaurant/foodservice industry.

COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS

THE SOCIETY FOR INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SCHOLARSHIP
The Society for Information Management awards one scholarship to a Junior or Senior undergraduate student in the CIS based on outstanding academic performance. The recipient of this award receives a cash award and their names are engraved on a plaque that hangs in the lobby of the CIS department.

WILLIAM W. COTTERMAN OUTSTANDING STUDENT AWARD
Each year, the computer information systems department honors the student in the MS-CIS program with the most outstanding academic record. Called the William W. Cotterman Award, it is named for the first chairman of the CIS department at Georgia State University. Winners of this award receive a cash award and their names are engraved on a plaque that hangs in the lobby of the CIS department.

JAMES P. ROZELLE OUTSTANDING PROGRAMMER AWARD
Each year, the computer information systems department honors the student in the CIS program with the most outstanding academic record in the programming courses. Called the James P. Rozelle Outstanding Programmer award, it is named for a former faculty member of the CIS department at Georgia State University. Winners of this award receive a cash award and their names are engraved on a plaque that hangs in the lobby of the CIS department.

THE ACCENTURE SCHOLARSHIP
Accenture awards one scholarship to a student in the MS-CIS program based on outstanding academic performance. Winners of this award receive a cash award and their names are engraved on a plaque that hangs in the lobby of the CIS department.

INSTITUTE OF HEALTH ADMINISTRATION

R. C. WILLIAMS, M.D., HONOR AWARD
The R. C. Williams, M.D., Honor Award was established to honor the late Dr. Williams, who founded the Hospital Administration program at GSU in 1952. The award is given to the MBA/MHA student demonstrating outstanding leadership in the profession through university, community and work-related endeavors.

EVERETT A. JOHNSON SCHOLARSHIP
The Everett A. Johnston Scholarship was established to honor Dr. Johnson, a long-time leader in health administration, upon his retirement as Institute Director in 1998. The scholarship is awarded to an MBA/MHA student for academic excellence.

Kathryn R. Mathis

R. J. KNOBEL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship was established upon Dr. Roland "Knob" Knobel's retirement in 1985, after teaching in the Institute since 1970. Academic performance and financial need are considered in making these two awards, one to a first-year student and one to a second-year student in the MBA/MHA program.

MAX G. HOLLAND MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is presented annually to the student in the MBA/MHA program with the highest grade-point average. The scholarship was established in memory of Dr. Max Holland, who was on the faculty of the Institute from 1976 to 1989.
