April 21, 2008: Twelve undergraduate students from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business Portfolio Management Team returned from the RISE VIII Conference in Dayton, Ohio, as a top winner of the conference's oral and poster portfolio competition.

January 2008: Robinson students, faculty and staff formed part of the audience for the January 23 taping of a special edition of Georgia Public Television's Georgia Business Report. The program featured Frank Argenbright, chairman and CEO of Air Serv.
Following the actual taping of the program, students participated in a Q&A session with Argenbright and then attended a networking reception with Air Serv representatives and GPTV invitees, including those from Georgian Bank, underwriter for the program..

December 2007: A team of four graduate accounting students from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business were named regional winners and national finalists in the 2007 Deloitte Tax Case Study Competition held earlier this fall.
Rick Hearn, Donald Skola, Tatiana Kondrateva, and Olga Vitebskiy competed against teams from the University of Denver, Brigham Young University, University of Southern California, Utah State University, and the College of William and Mary. business.

See What Happened at The Fiscal Wake-Up Tour
The Fiscal Wake-Up Tour is a nationwide series of town hall forums focusing on the nation's long-term fiscal challenges. Georgia State University and The J. Mack Robinson College of Business had the opportunity to host one of these events on October 1, 2007. Speakers included Robert Bixby, Executive Director of the Concord Coalition, and David Walker, Comptroller General of the United States.

Winners of Bergeron Women in Technology Scholarships
Last year, Sandra and Doug Bergeron gave a $1 million endowment to the College for the Bergeron Women in Technology Leadership Scholarship. In September 2007, the first recipients of the award were named. Congratulations to CIS students Da'Waisha MeShea Linder, Melissa E. Lamoureux, Fatima Akhter Jahan, Ivie Ogufere and Kia Rainey.
